Tumble Class Session FAQs

Can you remind me of the dates of the session?
Our Winter tumble session runs Monday, December 2 – Friday, February 28. We offer 11 weeks of tumbling* with a make-up week scheduled for March 3-7.  *Monday is 10-weeks due to the February 17 holiday. No classes will be held over winter break, December 23-January 3.

What should my athlete wear?
Athletes must wear appropriate workout attire during class. Athletes should wear something that is comfortable and will allow for movement, such as gym shorts, spandex shorts, leotard, t-shirts, tank tops, etc. Athletes can go barefoot, wear cheer shoes or soft-sole shoes, no socks please. Long hair should be pulled back into a ponytail.  All jewelry should be removed.

Can I stay and watch?
Parents are always welcome to stay and observe, but parents and siblings must stay in the gym lobby area. Only athletes are allowed past the red tape/ribbon and on the mats. Complimentary wi-fi is available.

Is food and drink allowed in the gym?
We ask that athletes, as well as parents and siblings who stay to observe, refrain from eating and drinking in the gym. Athletes may bring water bottles. We offer a refill station with electrolyte-infused purified water.

How do I speak with the coaches?
If you would like to speak with a coach, please send an email to ashburn@fitwize4kids.com with your question/concern and they will be happy to contact you via email/phone. Our tumble classes are scheduled back-to-back and do not allow for time to meet with parents in-between classes. Thank you for understanding as our coaches must remain focused on the athletes while classes are in session.

What is evaluation week and when is it?
During evaluation week, coaches will ask athletes to demonstrate the skills they have been working on to ensure proper class placement for the next tumble session. Coaches will provide this feedback to parents so you know what class your child should register for the next session. Evaluation week will typically be held 3 weeks prior to the start of registration, but don’t worry – if your athlete is absent that week, they can have their evaluation done the following week.
